The way we take in sound – our ability to listen – involves much more than hearing. The ability to listen effectively affects learning, energy, and communication as well as body structure, balance and muscle tone.
Creative Listening Center (CLC) specializes in Listening Therapy Programs for attention, learning issues, and emotional/behavioral issues as well as personal growth. Using music and movement, we help children and adults improve auditory functioning, leading to better communication (both receptive and expressive), improved focus and attention, and easier learning.
Our programs are designed to help children and adults with:
- Difficulties in school, including auditory processing problems, Dyslexia, and attention difficulties (Add, ADHD)
- Sensitivity to sound, including autism, Aspergers Syndrome, and pervasive developmental disorder (PDD)
- Head injuries
- Depressed or anxious mood
